As our students prepare for the final few weeks of the semester and get ready to return home for the holidays, I am reminded once again that the Texas College community extends far beyond the geographic boundaries of our campus in Tyler, Texas. No matter where you live, you are a member of the "TC" family, united by memories, traditions and a conviction that Texas College is vital to our collective future.
This is a special place and a special time. We truly are a dynamic institution in service to humanity and a college with the students best interest at its heart. As such, Texas College must be an educational and inspirational experience as well as a leadership laboratory for our students. We offer the irreplaceable value of Academic Excellence in an embracing environment that encompasses the balance of our core values; Integrity, Perseverance, Social Responsibility, Tolerance and Community Service. For more than 118 years we have been the cornerstone of a community that values lifelong learning and public service.
Now in this season and as the end of the year approaches, please take this moment to show your support for the Texas College Campaign "TC40"by making at least a $40 gift that supports student scholarships. Gifts from alumni and friends like you have made all of our successes possible. I hope you will accept this invitation to again invest in the future of Texas College. For your convenience, a gift card and envelope are enclosed for your response. If you prefer, you can make a secure online donation, you may do so at www.texascollege.edu by clicking on the "Make an online gift to TC40" button. However you choose to give, I am confident that your gift will show your unwavering commitment to education and the self-satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at 903-593-8311 ext. 2277 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make your gift prior to December 31, 2012 for a tax-deduction recognized in 2012.

P.S. Don't forget-you can double or even triple your gift to Texas College if the company you work for matches employees' charitable giving. All donations made before December 31st will be counted as a 2012 tax-deduction.
