Upon completion of the eleventh year in high school, a student showing superior academic ability and unusual maturity may be admitted with less than 16 units of study prior to high school graduation. Other criteria to be used in determining early admission to the College include:

  1. A combined score of 1,000 or above on the SAT (equivalent score on ACT is acceptable).
  2. Academic placement in the upper 10 percent of high school class.
  3. An evaluation by the Enrollment Management Committee.
  4. All other requirements as outlined for the freshman student.

Admission of High School Honor Students

The high school student wishing to take a course at Texas College prior to graduation from high school may apply for early admission as an honors scholar. Criteria are the same as for the Early Admissions Program described above. Students will be limited to enrolling in one course per semester. Full college credit is awarded.
