Dear Friends and Prospective Students:

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Texas College. You are invited to become a part of an educational institution that embraces your academic and professional growth and interests. At the “heart” of our mission, we are obligated to “…ensure that the student body experiences balanced intellectual, psychological, social and spiritual development, aimed at enabling them to become active productive members of society where they live and work.” This commitment remains at the heart of our purpose.

Texas College was founded as a historically black college in 1894, now is an institution with great diversity among students and staff. As a four-year liberal arts institution, you will gain the theoretical and foundational preparations that will propel you into majors (and/or minors) that equip you for graduate/professional schools, or the world of work.

This is an exciting time to be a part of the Texas College family, as expansions are taking place in the living-learning environments for the benefit of our students and staffs. Texas College has recently completed its Phase I building initiative, that included: building new student resident halls for men and women; renovating current resident facilities along with the addition of expanded computer centers; adding a new fitness center for students and staff; expansion of the dining facilities; the addition of a new Athletic Complex; the addition of a newly designed Music Hall for the Choir and Marching Band; and, the re-design and expansion of outdoor areas for social and academic gatherings. All of the aforementioned accommodations are for creating environments where learning and growth are given priority. I invite you to enroll today where Texas College is “Building for the Future…Establishing a Finger Print for Success.”
