TEXAS COLLEGE TO CELEBRATE FALL CONVOCATION

Texas College will convene its Fall Convocation on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium, located on the campus of Texas College.

Founded in 1894, Texas College has remained committed to its mission of providing a quality, faith-based education that prepares students for leadership and service. The annual Fall Convocation serves as a ceremonial gathering to formally mark the beginning of the academic year, while also reflecting on the College’s enduring legacy and future spirations.

The keynote address will be delivered by Rev. Dr. W. Raymond Bryant, who, in November 2017, was appointed the Presiding Elder of the San Antonio District of the Southwest Texas Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Tenth Episcopal District. Rev. Dr. Bryant is an anointed man of God who encourages those with whom he comes in contact to develop a daily spiritual walk with God, while actively promoting prayer, education, and community service.

Convocation is a time of reverence and renewal for the Texas College community, As the College celebrates 131 years of history, it remains steadfast in the commitment to academic excellence, moral integrity, and service to humanity.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Texas College are invited to share in this observance as the institution continues its noble pursuit of developing graduates who are prepared to lead and serve in a global society.
