CATEGORIES OF ACHEIVEMENT

INSTITUTIONAL GOALS

Graduation Rate: 41.6%

Graduation is defining as students' successful completion of the college's core requirements, content requirements and institutional requirements. It is also expected that students would have met his/her financial obligations to the college at the time of graduation. The graduation rate is measured when students have successfully completed the requirements juxtaposed to the term they entered. The Goal is to minimally achieve 46% annually, or be at current HBCU eight-year reported rate.

Retention Rate: 68%

The retention of students is measured per annual retention and term retention. The annual rate is measured from Fall term to Fall term and the term rate is measured from term to term. Retention is defined as students who enroll full-time with no break in service. The Goal is to minimally achieve 71% Fall to Fall (annually).

Graduate/Professional School Entry: 8%

The minimum goal is to have graduate school enrollments at a minimum of 10% of the annual graduating class.

EPP Student Performance: 100%

The minimum goal is for students to achieve or surpass the required standard of TEA annually. The state’s performance standard is 80%.

EPP Accreditation: Yes

The TEA requisite is for institutions to achieve state accreditation annually.
