Founders' Day Convocation
Texas College will proudly celebrate 132 years of faith, education, and service with its annual Founders’ Convocation on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) in the Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium.
The Founders’ Convocation is a cornerstone event of the College’s 132nd anniversary observance, honoring the vision, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of the group of ministers affiliated with the Colored Methodist Church—now known as the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church who founded Texas College in 1894. The gathering will bring together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the institution to reflect on the College’s historic mission and continued commitment to educating and empowering future generations.
This commemorative service will highlight Texas College’s longstanding role as a faith-based institution dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and service.
